Each plate is coated with a thick nutrient rich agar, which microorganisms love! See increased growth and performance compared to other products. Kit Contents: 1. 10 pre-poured nutrient rich agar plates.
2. 10 cotton tipped sticks. 3.
1 vial of water to be used in experiments. 4. 2 transfer pipettes.
Basic Instructions: 1. Unopened plates can be stored at room temperature or refrigerated. 2.
Take out agar plates and let them warm up to room temperature for about 1 hour. 3. Get a cotton tip stick.
Wet the cotton tip with water if you are going to be testing dry areas for better results. 4. Swab different objects (e.g.
teeth, phone, sink, etc.). 5. Gently wipe the cotton tip contents onto the surface of the agar plate.
6. Close the lid and turn the plate upside down so that the lid is on the bottom and agar is on the top. 7.
Incubate plates at 84-100F using a portable heater or a desk lamp. Keep a thermometer nearby. 8.
Watch stuff grow! Colonies should be visible in 1-4 days.
