The set provides 10 of each specimen, allowing students to work individually or in small groups as they learn the anatomy of each specimen.
Set includes sponges, hydra, mussels, earthworms, butterflies, honey bee workers, grasshoppers, crayfish, starfish, perch, and frogs. Note: Does not include dissection instructions. Important Notice The supply of dissectible starfish specimens is limited due to a decline in natural populations of starfish, which has been attributed to sea star wasting disease.
This disease, thought to be caused by a virus, has decimated populations of starfish along the East and West Coasts of the United States.
